Talkin' Broadway JAZZ TURNS is an evening of contemporary and classic musical theatre songs given evocative jazz interpretations by Jeffry Denman and Joshua Pearl. The show debuted to a sold-out house on February 19th 2007 at Birdland as part of Broadway @ Birdland presented by Jim Caruso and Theatremania.com featuring the Joshua Pearl Classic Jazz Trio. Jeffry's special guests at Birdland included Tony nominee Brian d'Arcy James, three-time Drama Desk nominee, Nancy Anderson and Broadway hoofer Dennis Stowe. Songs include "Nothing is Too Wonderful to Be True" by David Yazbek, "Not While I'm Around" "Love, I Hear," "Someone is Waiting," "Little White House," and "Agony/Pretty Women," by Stephen Sondheim, "Tea For Two" by Harbach and Caesar, "Moving Too Fast" by Jason Robert Brown, "My Own Space" by Kander and Ebb, "Rememb'ring You" by Joseph and David Zellnik, "Lucky to Be Me" by Comden/Green and Berstein, "Life of the Party" by Andrew Lippa and "Tonight at Eight" by Bock and Harnick. The Joshua Pearl Trio is led by Joshua Pearl, a jazz pianist, composer, orchestrator and arranger. The Joshua Pearl Classic Jazz Trio features Rob Garcia on drums and Ritt Henn on bass.
